Did This ‘Artist’ Really Top the Christian Music Charts?
Have American Christians gotten so open-minded that their brains have fallen out? It was just reported that a drag queen made the top of the Christian music charts.
No, thank God! It was, in part, a backlash against this tweet by Sean Feucht “If you’re wondering the end goal of the deconstruction movement in the church, then look no further than former worship leader @derekwebb’s new collab with a drag queen. These are truly the last days.”
So, what is really going on here?
According to Paste magazine this is what caused the rush: “In response to that missive from Christian musician and failed Congressional candidate Sean Feucht sent out to his 100,000 followers, fans made one of those collaborations, ‘Good Day,’ hit the top spot on the Christian iTunes chart briefly last night. The album it’s on, Flamy Grant’s ‘Bible Belt Baby,’ still sits at #1 on the album chart.”
iTunes is Apple. You know, that company that produces the best products Chinese children can make. They are also patently anti-Christian. They are the ones who chose the category for Flamy Grant’s song.
This is staged to make it look like the deconstruction movement (more on this later) is gathering steam in America. It is a George Soros-esque stunt.
I am not saying that Christian music is not corrupted. Too much of it certainly is.
Christian concerts that sell tickets for up to $2,000 are not—in my mind—Christian at all. They are a money grab. Period. And the documentary on Hillsong did not help the case for modern Christian music.
But Flamy Grant is not a case against Christian music. It is a tactic against the church and the Word of God. Do not fall for it!
Let’s expose this insidious weapon. We will quote them in their own words and their own words will condemn them.
“I grew up super evangelical, fundamental in the Bible Belt,” Blake (aka Flamy Grant) says. “I was a worship leader up until last year really, the last decade in more progressive churches. I’ve always been interested in drag, but as a kid, I didn’t know it was drag. I just liked my mom’s clothes. It got pushed out of me. I realized that if I’m going to belong in that [Christian] community, I’d have to suppress it.”
Okay, so here is what wearies me: people who have had bitter experiences in church and then take it out on those who are totally innocent. There is nothing heroic about that. Why not make a clean break and at least be a sincere atheist? Why do you have to undermine the faith of young impressionable believers?
Here’s the deal: according to some statistics the number of Gen Z who claim to be gender fluid has jumped 9,000%. Wait, what? How is that possible? What is in our water?
Of course there is a fad! A lot of this is peer pressure. Many of these inflated numbers are the result of normal adolescent needs for acceptance. In other times it was clothes and hairstyle. Now you can get attention and sympathy simply by talking about your gender dysphoria.
And gender dysphoria is real and we need compassion for that. But it is cruel and short-sighted not to offer the power and love of Christ for that need. Especially when you consider that according to medical studies “transition procedures” have not affected suicide rates.
But it also wrong to stop parents from trying to talk sense in their own children who are merely following a dangerous fad.
Dylan Mulvaney on a Bud Light can was not a backlash against transgender people. It was a backlash against a man who is a total fraud and everyone knows it. There is no hero there. He actually complained that Bud Light did not get back to him after he cost them a $24 billion loss. Oh brother.
The whole idea that there is a witch hunt is ridiculous. If you want instant backlash attack a transgender person. There is not a more protected minority than transgender. There is not a more celebrated announcement that you can make than to say you are changing gender.
The real trend is to lavish praise on them. Joe Biden proved this on the White House lawn when he said the unimaginable to a transgender group: “these are the bravest people I have ever met.” He said this within earshot of the Arlington National Cemetery. Where tens of thousands of brave Americans are buried—soldiers who gave their lives for their country.
You are not a hero because you are willing to don a dress.
This top of the “Christian music charts” is anti-Christian. That says it all. That tells you everything.
They continue to quote Jesus and use Him as a model for their nefarious mission. All the while they know that they are not rescuing anyone. They are simply getting revenge for their suppressed life while they were in the church by going after innocent youth.
Flamy sings the last verse: “I heard Jesus loved and spent His life with those who / Were abandoned by proud and fearful men / So if a church won’t celebrate and love you / They’re believing lies that can’t save you or them / ‘Cause you’re so beautiful by any name.”
Flamy is the one of those proud and fearful men he speaks against. Jesus accused the Pharisees saying, “You disregard and neglect the commandment of God, and cling [faithfully] to the tradition of men,” (Mark 7:8).
These artists know what Jesus taught. In Mark 10:6 Jesus said, “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.'” Jesus believes there are only two genders. These artists do not. They are putting a trend above truth and they know it. That makes them the modern day Pharisees. They cannot use Jesus for their demolition derby against the church.
Here is the bottom line: This glitter storm of deception was predicted. Using fake I.D.s for access to church was foreseen. Second Timothy 3: 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
Indeed, turn away from this nonsense. This is satan—knowing his time is short—pulling out every last trick he has.

Mario Murillo rose from poverty in the Mission District of San Francisco. After being revolutionized by Christ, he felt a call to evangelize at the University of California at Berkeley. The students rejected his efforts until a desperate prayer led to an unprecedented supernatural outpouring. Students started to report miraculous healings. After a four-day conference in San Jose, California, extended to six months, with nearly 250,000 people in attendance, he launched his international ministry. Since then Murillo’s voice has been heard by millions around the world, bringing a message that zeroes in on the hurts of society and Christ’s power to end addiction, racism, violence and disease.
