Flashpoint Live Leads Christians Toward American Renewal
Read time: 3 minutes 18 seconds
In the final Flashpoint Live event, presented by the Victory Channel, energy filled the auditorium as Christian leaders discussed the importance of turning America’s heart back toward God.
The headliners for the night consisted of the Victory Channel’s own Gene Bailey who hosted the panel, co-founder of One Voice Ministries Hank Kunneman, evangelist Mario Murillo and author Lance Wallnau.
The focus of the night was the political implications of Christians doing the workings of God to bring about spiritual and cultural renewal across America, and the forces they are having to stand up against to see this event happen.
Wallnau discussed how the rumblings within the Christian community and beyond are already having an effect on American society, and the energy behind Christian, conservative candidates is “freaking the left out.”
Many political commentators have alluded to a “red wave” in the upcoming midterm elections. With issues like inflation, rising crime and gas prices on the forefront of many voters’ minds, Democratic nominees have been trying to focus on issues like abortion and the striking down of Roe v. Wade as their main talking points.
These economic failings of the current administration have shifted the political landscape for many Democratic candidates, who were once considered untouchable but now are in danger of losing their positions.
“There are governorships and senate races, which were supposed to be secure seats for Democrats, they’re even up for grabs. That’s why you know that this is a huge wave, when they’re on the defense, when they thought they were totally safe,” Wallnau says.
The panelists also discussed that simply defeating the Democrat’s agenda in this mid-term is not the goal. They argue that there must be a continuance of spiritual, cultural and political change that will bring about a renewing of America’s heart and soul.
“So, our movement … has to be more than just securing some positioning in a political thing, we have to shift the culture. Do not forget this. We are the force behind the change in America, and it will only keep moving if we keep the heat on it,” Wallnau elaborated.
Mario Murillo echoed this point, and pointed to Christian leaders across the country as the “tip of the spear” for this movement. He implored them to take a stand and speak out against injustice and oppression, and actively combat these attempts to quell Christianity in America.
Highlighting the words and strategies of former president Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower, Murillo explained there must be planned strategies on moving forward to combat the schemes of the enemy.
“George S. Patton believed in a principle of war called pursuit,” Murillo explained. “He said the most dangerous moment is when your enemy starts to retreat, because an army in retreat is falling back on its supplies, therefore you must outrun them and cut off their supplies.
“What we’ve got to understand is if we let up now it will be worse than it was before. This is our moment to truly attack and vote and speak up, engaging with friends and neighbors on the issues of the day,” Murillo concluded.
The night was also filled with guest appearances, and a pre-recorded message from Donald Trump.
The former president discussed the poor state of affairs across the country, and that “There has never been so much damage done in a two-year period in our country.”
Joining the main line-up of speakers was guest host Dutch Sheets, host of the “Give Him 15” program and a renowned author of books such as “Intercessory Prayer.”
Sean Feucht also made an appearance at the event. His “Let Us Worship” events have been held across the country, many in cities hostile to the message of God, and has grown the movement in hopes to bring salvation and cultural change across America. {eoa}
