Leniency for Child Predators on the Supreme Court Becomes Cause for Great Concern
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed as a Supreme Court justice on Thursday, April 7, 2022. During the confirmation hearings, Jackson stirred up significant controversy due to her refusal to say what a woman is, and her questioning of individual rights, one of the foundations for shared cultural understanding and jurisprudence that assumes all men have equal standing before the law rather than the doctrine of forced “equity.”
In light of her historical confirmation, American Family Association (AFA, AFA.net) expressed their concern at her appointment and urged the newest SCOTUS justice to rely on the inerrant truth of the Bible during her tenure on the highest court in the land.
“We are disappointed in the Senate’s vote to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court but wish Judge Jackson well as she takes her seat on the Court,” said AFA General Counsel Abraham Hamilton III. “Some of her past decisions as a judge are concerning, such as her leniency toward child sexual predators, her claim to not know what a ‘woman’ is, and her uncertainty of when life begins. The last thing America needs is a Supreme Court Justice that is more confused than our president. Nevertheless, she has expressed her faith in God. Our prayer is that she will lean on the God of the Bible in her deliberations and be faithful to His unchanging law in her decisions.”
