The 7 Works of the Holy Spirit: Who Is He?
God has promised us to never leave or forsake us (Deut. 31:6), and He hasn’t, because He has sent back the Holy Spirit to help us. In my 50th podcast episode, I delve into the best gift our Father in heaven has given us, which is the Holy Spirit. I share with my listeners The Seven Works of the Holy Spirit and how, as believers, it is to our benefit to understand who He is in His entirety so that we are able to allow Him to be what the Father intended Him to be in our lives.
Holy Spirit is the very presence of God within us and all believers, and is how we learn to live as God wants, how we build His church on the earth and how, by faith, we appropriate Holy Spirit’s power every day.
There are many dimensions to the Holy Spirit’s character, personality and power. I believe many of us have not had the opportunity to grow and mature in understanding who He is because we have not yet met Him in all of His dimensions. One of the major ways to tap in with Holy Spirit, a foundational way that we talk about all the time, is through prayer.
Making yourself available in prayer is imperative to grow in understanding Holy Spirit in your life. Sometimes you don’t know what to say, and Holy Spirit will stand in the gap. We can surrender our minds to Holy Spirit, and He will make intercession for us through moanings and groanings of the perfect will of God—of things you don’t know and understand in your natural mind.
As you make yourself available, you will begin to see more of the manifestation of Christ Jesus through the Holy Spirit, and you will be able to understand His voice more.
In this episode, The Seven Works of The Holy Spirit, I explain that there are seven functions of the Holy Spirit, which create the foundation for a more exciting and fruitful walk with God. The sevenfold Spirit of God symbolizes and acknowledges the revelation of completeness and perfection. We can find them in Isaiah 11:2 listed as:
— The Spirit of the Lord.
— The Spirit of wisdom.
— The Spirit of understanding.
— The Spirit of counsel.
— The Spirt of might.
— The Spirit of knowledge.
— The Spirit of the fear of the Lord.
For more in-depth teaching on these seven works and to begin to understand more of who Holy Spirit is, I encourage you to first partner with Him and ask Him for yourself. Our Father does not want to withhold any good thing from you, and He surely wants to reveal more of Himself to you. Once you’ve done that, listen to the episode The Seven Works of The Holy Spirit.
