Why This Command From Jesus Must Take Priority

The Great Commission still rings clear and is just as imperative today as it was when Jesus commanded it. We are to preach and demonstrate this gospel to the lost and broken and it doesn’t always have to look like traveling to other countries to fulfill it.

Everywhere we turn, even in our own hometowns and cities, there are people in desperate need of Jesus and a touch from His presence … why not start with our neighbors?

Every great citywide revival of old that you can research and read about has always began in the place of prayer, with faithful intercessors crying out for their city and people coming together to pray for salvation and freedom to crash in. Hand in hand with prayer and intercession is action. We can’t just pray; we need to preach as Jesus commanded us. We need to go to the streets and share the Good News, pray for the sick and bring His kingdom to those we are praying for.

On the latest episode of Awaken Podcast, I speak to my friend Kurt Wilson, who leads a ministry called Pray for the Lou, where they bring churches together in the city of St Louis to pray for and minister to the great needs of their city. Tune in to hear powerful testimonies and more! {eoa}
