Having ‘One of Those Days’? Here’s the Path to Hope You Need
Is today “one of those days” for you?
We all have them. But Dr. Steve Greene has the answer to how we can keep those not-so-good days from affecting our work in negative ways.
“I just have to remember the hope that I have within me,” he says on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network.
“I’m not any different than any of you,” he adds. “We all have hard days and faith gets challenged, our entire way of thinking can be challenged. And then we think about the hope that’s within us.
“And maybe the most important point about hope is that it is the seedbed of faith. Faith comes out of hope; because I have hope. I have faith.”
Greene shares a key quote from Kris Vallotton in his book Spiritual Intelligence: “Hope feels, faith sees, and love never fails.”
“With hope, I’m going to feel that things are OK,” Greene says. “Faith, I’m going to see it; faith is ‘the evidence of things not seen.’ I don’t see it, but faith sees it. … And then to go with all that, love never fails—especially when you have a leader who leads with love as opposed to leading with fear.
“If you have a fear leader, you lose hope,” he adds.
