Building Strong Relationships Starts Not With Happiness, But Identity in Christ

Share:

Many relationships fail, not because of a loss of love but a loss of focus. And this is exactly what Pastor Steven Furtick of Elevation Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, says the church needs to remember.

The church, Furtick says, has fallen into the trap of teaching that relationships with others are the basis for “happiness,” and it’s time to change that misconception. As he eloquently points out, if that were true, then the biblical greats, including Jesus, would never have been happy. True healthy relationships start with a strong focus on God and who you are in Him.

But for those who are looking to cultivate the best kind of relationships, tune into the Promise Keepers virtual couples session free of charge starting Feb. 13, 2021 at 11 a.m. Central and 12 p.m. Eastern. Attendees can register here.
